Does America function better with one party controlling congress and the other the executive branch?

The last six years have pr oven that it does not function well with one party in control of all three branches. It has been much like a rubber stamp congress and executive. George Bush never vetoed a single item from his Republican puppet congress except the ONE that could have saved lives.

Legislation was run through like a theocracy, much of it without debate, and much of it controversial and damaging to the country.

The next two years will take away the power of George Bush to be a tyrant, and reduce him to a president. He will have to LISTEN to the ideas of the other party. He will no longer to be able to run the country without opposition. This will foster an exchange of ideas and information, instead of repression of them.Does America function better with one party controlling congress and the other the executive branch?
After watching what the republican controlled rubber stamping Congress has done in recent years I don't think one party should control either the House or the Senate ever again. But hey, that's just my opinion.Does America function better with one party controlling congress and the other the executive branch?
Yes it keeps one party from always getting their way.
What is the difference between the two parties? They both stand for more government, more foreign intrigue, more involvement in undeclared wars, higher taxes, inflating currency with no backing, and subservience to the United Nations.

Vote third party, or write in. Don't waste your vote!
I want the Republicans in control of all three right now.

Or in the near future.
It does allow for more consensus
If forces more bipartisan debate, so I would say yes. Wall Street also likes when the executive branch is different then congress. The feeling is less damage can be done to the country which will keep the markets stable.
It almost always has worked better that way.
No. None of the stuff works regardless of party.

Neither party represents the people, but only represent

themselves and big business interest.
YES!!!
Liberals have no problem with one party control when they are the one party in control
better with no liberals. they lie as much as u do.
