they r controlled by the hypothalamus-pituitary-endocrine gland axis.When the brain senses there is deficiency of certain hormones it releases trophic hormone releasing hormone from the hypothalamus to the pituitary which releases the trophic hormones to stimulate the target gland which then release the hormone.When there is excess of the hormones they inhibit the pituitary to release the trophic hormones.How endocrine glands and brain together performs functions of control and coordination?
