What the slope controls and how slope affects the graph of a linear function?

Please, can you tell me at least 6 of them.

Thanks a lot!

Hugs-n Kisses! What the slope controls and how slope affects the graph of a linear function?
The value of the slope

The slope of a linear function measure the rate of increase per unit. So for each unit you move in the horizontal you move slope units in the vertical.

The slope is also the value of the tangent of the angle of the linear function. by taking the inverse tangent you can obtain the value of this angle.

The sign of the slope

A negative slope means a decreasing graph, positive slope an increasing function and zero slope a constant function.

The inverse of a linear function is a linear function and the slope of this inverse is -1 over the slope of the original function.

The condition for two linear functions to be perpendicular is that the product of their slopes is -1.
